The Hillsboro Lady Indians earned their sixth win of the season Monday night by defeating the Washington Lady Blue Lions, 13-3, as this was the Frontier Athletic Conference opener for the 2023 season.
Hillsboro varsity baseball earned their first win of the 2023 season by defeating Rock Hill in their second game of the Deb’s Wooden Bat Classic — hosted by Whiteoak — as Hillsboro’s two games in the Saturday tournament were held at Shaffer Park.
Playing two games on Saturday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians softball team split their weekend games at the Blue Angels Classic, where they defeated Gallia Academy and lost to the Unioto Lady Shermans, both non-conference games.
The Hillsboro Indians had nine hits and four runs Friday, but committed seven errors, which cost the Indians a win as they lost to Worthington Kilbourne, 6-4 in their non-conference game.
