U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, has awarded the Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators to Amy Boros, a teacher at Hull Prairie Intermediate School in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Garett Cunningham of Greenfield, an Honors Tutorial College (HTC) computer science and mathematics graduate, will be making the move from Ohio University to the University of Regensburg in Germany as a Fulbright award recipient. He will be conducting research with the end goal of writing a programming language based on knot theory, a field of mathematics focused on the interconnectivity of things.

The Jefferson Alumni met on May 28 and awarded $1,000 scholarships to 19 graduating seniors. Since 2003, the Jefferson Alumni has awarded 145 scholarships.
