Biden-Harris administration slow-walks Helene response

Want to see how a Democrat administration cares for Americans? Go to Western North Carolina or Eastern Tennessee.
At first, I thought folks were exaggerating about how bad the conditions are in this area as well as the poor response by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
However, the pleas are too loud and the examples too plentiful to ignore. (See Mark Huneycutt's report from Chimney Rock, N.C. at https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=uN8DF5uy7Kb4k4Rd&v=MYdC-6nShdc&feature…)
There have been all sorts of excuses and denials by FEMA, Biden and Harris concerning the devastation wrought by Helene on Sept. 26-27. Harris has famously offered the victims of this storm $750 while wearing a $700 belt matching her ensemble. I can’t pick out the belt. I buy most of my clothes at Bass Pro Shop, but others in the know apparently have and the optics are not good.
Meanwhile, it is reported illegal aliens in New York are receiving Visa credit cards loaded with $13,000 (unverified, but several sources).
It has also been reported that Western North Carolina is the largest concentration of Republicans in the state. There are all sorts of conspiracy theories floating around about Helene, including one that the government created this storm. I am sorry, but that is a hurricane eye too far for me. However, it demonstrates the serious issue that we have today which is this: Who do you believe?
Well, there are a couple of heavyweights in the Democrat Party who have weighed in on this. On Saturday, Oct. 6, Hillary Clinton talking to CNN host Michael Smerconish, said social media companies must moderate content on their platforms or else “we lose total control.”
Who is "we?"
Remember Hillary’s “despicable” comment about Trump voters? David Axelrod, former Obama senior adviser, found a more sophisticated way to slam Trump followers. Axelrod said, “upscale North Carolina Harris voters will find a way to vote after storm, not sure about Trump fans."
He further stated that rural conservatives may not be as resourceful in finding ways to vote following destruction of their homes and communities. I’ll bet they can get through the winter without shelter or packaged foods, too.
These two Democrats tell you all you need to know about what they really think about middle-income and lower-income folks. In my own words, they are telling us that if you don’t know what a “charcuterie board” is, you don’t count. Look it up. I had to ask someone else what the heck a charcuterie board is just a few months ago, and I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world.
Personally, I like to hang out with folks with dirt beneath their fingernails, that have just a fine waft of hard work following them around. They are real people in my way of thinking.
If Clinton and Axelrod will make these kinds of disrespectful comments about folks living in the mountains of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, you can be certain they have the same disdain toward anyone who works for a living. That includes you, blue-collar worker. And as for Kamala, I am fairly certain that she has no idea what middle class is.
Why vote for a party that has such disdain? Why vote for a party that slow-walks aid for hurricane victims four weeks before an election? Remember how George W. Bush was pilloried for the response to Hurricane Katrina? Where is the outrage today? The media covers up for the Democrats.
Even Elon Musk has left the Democrats. He has seen the light. Even Musk realizes how important free speech is. He is supposed to be the richest man in the world. So, Axelrod and Clinton, is your disdain for certain social classes or just for those who disagree with you?

Conspiracy Theories From The Right - Many Are Just Theories.
One of the more far-fetched rumors is that Helene was an "engineered storm" to allow corporations to mine regional lithium deposits. Republican Congress member Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on X Thursday night: "Yes they can control the weather. It's ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can't be done." The conspiracy theories come at a pivotal time for rescue and recovery efforts following the storm, one of the deadliest U.S. hurricanes this century. Greene's theory is Helene was planned is far fetched. Trump ally, Grant Cardone's question was "Do you think Gov't is using technology to manipulate weather patterns & storms?" It comes as other Republicans, such as Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene again, have appeared to say that Democrats control the weather. Imagine that Democrats have that much power to inflict damage on many Red states. Absurd.
Interesting observation
So what you're saying is: Man cannot control or affect the weather or climate? If people have no power to control a storm, then certainly people are total bystanders for the ebbs and flows of the climate.
Many False Narratives Daily
Randall. There are almost daily false narratives. Then debunked in a few days later. At least Springfield rumors have dropped off the radar. Pushed by the likes of Trump, Vance and Red state House members whose home states are hurricane disasters. Desparation pushing fear mongering. The dead heat polls have the right searching for who to incite next with false rumours. The left is betting big on the national abortion ban. No one is working on saving Social Security, Not even on the radar.
Russian "Collusion"
I remember the Steele Dossier that Hillary bought and paid for, from 8 years ago. It was all false. Which led to an absurd impeachment of President Trump. The Left has a monopoly on false narratives, far and away. It's not even close. And I didn't know you were British or Canadian, using the spelling "rumours."
RADAR
President Trump is proposing no income tax on your beloved social security. I would call that on the RADAR. I guess you missed that blip on your news screen.
False info. Let's pile on Jim
Also Jim, Hillary did not say "despicable." She said "deplorable."
I don't understand. Western North Carolina is within 300 miles of Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, and Camp LeJeune. There could have been dozens of helicopters, hundreds of trucks full of equipment and supplies, and a thousand men and women ready to work by the day after the storm. Those troops do not wear $700 belts like Kamala does. Their annual clothing allowance is about $700.
Why listen to people who know?
The Governors of the affected states and who are working with FEMA every day all day that they are pleased with the response they have seen. Since they are in a position to know better than anyone, I think I will give their words more weight than partisan internet misinformation from people who want nothing more than to denigrate the administration and will take any opportunity, no matter how false to do it. The misinformation that is being spread is harmful to FEMA’s efforts to get help to the people who desperately need it. Decades of climate change denial has brought us to this point in time where the effects that scientists (aka people who actually know things) have been warning us was coming for over 50 years, are here now.
Why believe people who have a corrupt political agenda?
Instead of governors, I give weight to the actual affected people by a natural disaster. The federal FEMA is not doing a very good job in North Carolina. Hopefully Hillary and the Left don't think the people who are suffering are giving "misinformation." The Hillary Progressive plan calls for controlling the dissemination of information that the authorities don't like.
What can Americans do to stop hurricanes and floods? What should I have done to prevent a dry spell this summer in Ohio? What can we do to get more snow this winter in Ohio, than we have had the past few years? Many love a White Christmas, if you actually believe in the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord. Maybe decades of Christ denial has brought us to this point.
A correction
I used "dispicable" rather than "deplorable." I stand by everything else in this column. Sorry, Lefties, I don't drink the same water you do.
BTW, thanks
Glad to have awakened some of you lefties. Felt like I wasn't doing my job--hadn't heard from you in a long time. I know one of you (who has not responded) is busy tending to his wife and her illness (they are on my daily prayer list) but I was worried about what had happened to some of you others.
They're in a stupor
I don't think that these lefties are fully awakened. They just talk amongst themselves. Their precious Joe and Kamala are not succeeding with their propaganda campaign. Their records are horrendous. And there's not a word in the English language to describe their communication skills.
The VP Kamala hurricane political ploy
I was fairly aware of current events as a teenager. I can distinctly remember how VP Dan Quayle took charge during Hurricanes Hugo '89 and Andrew '92. South Carolina and Florida are in debt to VP Quayle for his interceding in natural disaster responses and for his leadership in rough times. Now it's VP Kamala turn to show her talents after these major incidents. There's a long history of a Vice President showing their mettle when citizens are in peril around the Country; calling Governors, zoom meetings with department heads, and going on vulgar talk shows like Howard Stern and that Daddy show I've never heard.
dump google and do your own research
"debunked" "fact checked" by what, the fox guarding the hen house? The uninformed have no will to seek truth. I find it difficult to believe that many incognizant people exist and evidently they must be blinded by evil.
un-debunked: payment of $750
"false information" "far-fetched rumors" "false narratives" appear to be un-debunked particularly the
following statement "The payment of $750 for households with serious needs will help cover immediate expenses related to sheltering, evacuation and meeting basic household needs."
Do your own research before you insert foot in mouth by repeating lies. Mainstream media is the actual false narrative, false information and far-fetched rumor purveyors.

Debunked or undebunked
Why Molly I am surprised at your response. I presume your information comes from Fox News or Newsmax, which of course are apolitical networks. Actually I obtained my information from multiple sources and not just one. None of the
sources were CNN or MSNBC either as I don't watch or follow either. And Betty I am confused at your undebunked
response. Your link goes right to the statement you referred to from FEMA on the $750 so are your trying to prove or disprove the statement???.
•••Publisher's note: That one confused me as well!
If not cnn or nbc, then what?
We're all dying to know where some get political news. Bill Nye the science guy? Taylor Swift? The View? Vogue? 60 minutes? (sixty minutes of strategic cuts and biased editing, is more like it)
Then what
For your nosy info, none of the above. I don't have any problem with Taylor Swift either. You just don't like her
because she isn't a dumb Trump supporter. I won't ask you where you get all of your unbiased information
because I really don't care.
False information
Mr. Thompson, apparently you also don't care if you put out false information as in your story above. The $750 has been debunked over and over. That is simply upfront monies to provide for emergency supplies and not in any way a total amount those people might get. Secondly your $13,000 has been debunked as well. There are not preloaded cards with that amount on them. If I hear statements like that I do some research to find out facts vs. fiction. There is a lot of fiction out there and you apparently don't mind adding to it. As far as the FEMA response I don't know - I am not there to witness it so not sure if the response was bad, good, or mediocre.
