The first few times I saw the different signs, I was very confused. If both sides want to end gerrymandering, why is there an issue to vote on? After doing some research, I’m no longer confused about Issue 1. I am just confused about why anyone would vote yes on it.

There have been all sorts of excuses and denials by FEMA, Biden and Harris concerning the devastation wrought by Helene on Sept. 26-27.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump must be the candidates for president in the November election. The American people have chosen these two candidates. If elections do have consequences and democracy is at stake, then the will of the people must be heard. Anything short of that would violate the concept of “We the People.”

Even some Democrats are starting to get it. Prominent pundit John Judis recently wrote, “America’s borders have been de facto open during the first three years of the Biden administration.” Our colleague from Texas, Mr. Cuellar recently said we have a crisis at the border. Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman said, “There is a crisis.” Even Secretary Mayorkas’ boss, President Biden, threw him under the bus recently, admitting that the border wasn’t secure.

No one can hold back the tide, but the Supreme Court has the opportunity to stop the erosion of civil liberties in a marquee case it will hear this week. My organization, the New Civil Liberties Alliance, is proud to represent the fishermen plaintiffs in this case, Relentless v. Department of Commerce.

Whether it be communism or terrorism, a faction of America will not admit that those ideas are evil. If evil can’t be identified, neither can good. As a result, America becomes just another country in the world instead a beacon of hope. When that happens, evil will take over.

Too many people haven’t been taught about the atrocities associated with communism, and too many people are making money working with the Chinese. As a result, modern-day America has lost its moral bearings and doesn’t know the difference between good and evil.
