The Fairfield Lady Lions dropped their first game of the season Saturday afternoon at Westfall High School to the Westfall Lady Mustangs in a closely contested game taking nine innings to complete. In the end, the Lady Mustangs were too much for the Lady Lions to handle, falling 5-4 in nine innings.

The Fairfield Lady Lions shut out the North Adams Lady Green Devils 12-0 to open the 2010 Southern Hills League season in a game played on Tuesday at North Adams High School.

After giving up two runs in the first three innings, the Fairfield Lions torched the North Adams Green Devils for seven in the bottom of the third. The big inning by the Lions allowed them to rule the home of the Green Devils for one day, as they defeated North Adams 11-2 Tuesday.

The Fairfield Lions played tough all game and all season long, but Thursday night at Jackson High School Eastern Meigs was just too strong as the Lady Lions ended their post season run, falling to EMHS 58-49 in the Division IV SE District Semifinal.
