In recognition of American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day®, the Ohio Beef Council is proud to highlight the important role beef plays in a heart-healthy diet. National Wear Red Day®, observed on the first Friday of February, raises awareness about cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death among women.

The Ohio Beef Council is proud to sponsor a series of free community workshops in Kettering on Jan. 14 and 15. These workshops will be led by Susie Kundrat, MS, RDN, LDN, a renowned nutrition and wellness expert, and author of Eat Move Groove: Unlock the Simple Steps to Lifelong Nutrition, Fitness & Wellness.

Are you a beef lover? The Ohio Beef Council (OBC) is bringing back the Eat Beef Ohio Passport this summer, and it’s better than ever. Visit participating restaurants and select meat markets to eat beef, earn points and win prizes. The program kicks off Beef Month on May 1, 2024, and runs through the end of September.

Social media is changing how consumers learn about food and cooking. Consequently, the Ohio Beef Council (OBC) and the Beef Checkoff opted to embrace these changes and adapt to help consumers gain more confidence in handling and cooking beef. The result was the creation of a culinary studio to further educate consumers through online videos and content. 

The Ohio Beef Council (OBC), on behalf of the Beef Checkoff, has partnered with the Ohio Restaurant Association Education Foundation to sponsor the Annual ProStart® Burger Battle. The event was held on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Delaware, Ohio.

The Ohio Beef Council (OBC) wants to help beef lovers experience the best steaks, burgers and featured beef dishes Ohio’s local restaurants have to offer with the Eat Beef Ohio Passport launch. The program officially begins May 1, 2023 and runs through the end of September.
