Ohio Beef Council and Anna Gest honored with Champion for Family and Consumer Sciences Education Award

The Ohio Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (OATFACS) has recognized Anna Gest, MS, RDN, LD, and the Ohio Beef Council with the Champion for Family and Consumer Sciences Education Award. 

This prestigious honor celebrates individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding support for Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in Ohio.
 
Gest and the Ohio Beef Council were selected for their ongoing dedication to advancing food and nutrition education, creating classroom resources, and providing meaningful support to FCS educators and students statewide.
 
OATFACS, a nonprofit division of the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education, serves FCS educators at the secondary, adult, and post-secondary levels. The organization promotes professional growth, fosters collaboration, and advocates for the future of the profession.
 
Through innovative partnerships such as the Beef in the Classroom Grant Program, curriculum development initiatives, and hands-on student opportunities, the Ohio Beef Council continues to strengthen the mission of FCS education in Ohio’s schools and communities.
