    Carla Simpson, Community Services Specialist at the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7), was recently honored by the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) as “Volunteer Rookie of the Year” for her outstanding support of Medicare beneficiaries throughout the AAA7’s 10-county district.

    The artwork of local seniors has been showcased as a part of the Area Agency on Aging District 7’s (AAA7) 43rd annual Art Show that has been featured for the past several weeks at Bristol Village’s Glenn Activity Center, located at 625 East Fifth Street in Waverly.

    September is a time of transition in Ohio. The days get shorter, temperatures begin to drift downward, and leaves begin to change. It is my favorite month of the year, not just because of all the colorful leaves, football games, and pumpkin spice lattes, but because it is Healthy Aging Month.
