After sweeping the New York Yankees in the Bronx, I was more than optimistic with the Reds' 10-game home stand approaching. Win seven of those, and you’re above .500 before the All-Star Break. However, the Reds once again let us down and failed to take a single game from the Detroit Tigers at home.  

Want to become a buyer by the deadline and try to make a run, Reds fans? Well, this Reds team needs to win these next two series against the Pirates and Cardinals or we might just find our beloved team as sellers before the deadline.  

I’ll start off this column by stating that I am tired of Cincinnati losing to Milwaukee. After outplaying Milwaukee for 2 out of 3 games and to come out of there with a series loss is brutal when trying to chase down the first-place team.  

At 32-34, the Reds are currently in a wild card playoff spot, but have eyes on still winning the National League Central.  

Right when it felt like the Dodgers series was going to crush any hopes of Cincinnati doing anything in the month of May, the Redlegs found a way to not only win the series against Los Angeles, but sweep them straight out of town.  

The Cincinnati Reds lost their seventh straight series over the weekend which drops their record to nine games below .500 before the end of May. Woof!  

While the Cincinnati Reds broke their losing streak finally against the Giants, they followed that win up with a very frustrating loss the following day.  

The last week of Reds baseball has nearly been unwatchable. I’ve never turned a Reds game off, but I was very close on Sunday, as the Reds continued one of the worst offensive droughts in their history.

The Cincinnati Bengals received many great compliments on their draft and overall received some very high draft grades. While draft grades mean nothing, it does show that many experts believe that Cincinnati added at the right positions at the correct time during the draft to fit their needs.  

With two outs and nobody on base and Jonathan India approaching the plate, I posted a tweet that losing a series to the Nationals was not ideal to begin the season – and boy did I hear it from some fans! How could I forget that this Reds roster doesn’t stop until that final out?

Remember when we were all freaking out about playing time and how much depth the Reds team was filled with? I’d like to go back to that time about now, as there are some real concerns with this roster going into the week before the regular season.  

The amount of Cincinnati Reds news in the last few days has certainly been overwhelming.

At last, Cincinnati has finally played a couple spring training games, and I can officially write about results on the field instead of projections.  

Beginning this weekend, we won’t go another Friday, Saturday or Sunday without Reds baseball until October (and hopefully well into October).
