The baseball season of the McClain Tigers continued last week as they lost on the road to Huntington on Wednesday (May 8) and on Friday (May 10) at home to Portsmouth West. 

The 2024 softball season for the Hillsboro Lady Indians saw them play two very competitive games at the Queen of the Hill event held at Rock Hill High School, where HHS defeated Portsmouth West and fell in a one-run game to the South Webster Lady Jeeps on Saturday. 

Hillsboro and Portsmouth West both scored within the first two minutes of their Week 3 football game and went on to combine for 83 points, with five touchdowns scored in the second quarter. Despite several big-yardage plays for the Indians, including on special teams, Hillsboro fell to the host Portsmouth West Senators, 49-34 Friday.
