The Workforce & Business Development Program of the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is again providing the Free Tax Assistance Program through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.

The Transitions Program of the Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) will be hosting a community event, “RISE ABOVE: An Event Celebrating Recovery in Pike County,” on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pike County Fairgrounds (311 Mill Street, Piketon).

The Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated fourth annual Community Trunk-or-Treat event, scheduled to take place Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. This exciting event will be held at the Multi-Purpose Building at the Pike County Fairgrounds, located at 311 Mill Street, Piketon.

On Monday, Sept. 16 at 8:19 p.m., Pike County Sheriff Tracy D. Evans reports that his office received a complaint of shots fired in the area of Fairview Road and Lapperell Road. This complaint allegedly stemmed from a road rage issue between drivers.
