Though the McClain Tigers had a strong surge of scoring in the final minutes, the Whiteoak Wildcats’ four goals and strong defense in the final 90 seconds were enough for the visitors to defeat the host Tigers by a 4-3 score Thursday at McClain Field.

The Hillsboro cross-country teams traveled to Leesburg on Sept. 17 to compete in the Fairfield Invitational. When the meet was over, Hillsboro walked away with three of the four first-place team trophies.
