Pollard named second-team All-HCAC

The Mount St. Joseph women's soccer team swept both the regular season and tournament championships in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. They nearly swept the leagues major awards as well.

Locally, senior Kerigan Pollard of Greenfield, a McClain HS alumna, was named to the second team. Pollard played 17 games for the Lions her senior season, finishing with six goals and three assists.

Also, sophomore McKinzie Dotson of Russellville, a graduate of Eastern (Brown) HS, was named to the second team.

Mckenzie Schneeman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Deer Park HS) was named the HCAC's Midfielder of the Year for the second consecutive season. She finished the season tied for the team-lead with 22 points (7 goals, 8 assists).

Vivian Willis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Healthy HS) was named the HCAC's Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season as well, leading a backline that helped secure 11 clean sheets this season and only allowed a pair of goals in HCAC play all season.

Ella Pittman (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison HS) was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year, after leading the Lions with 10 goals and adding a pair of assists.

Coach Darren Gallagher was named the HCAC's Coach of the Year, after his team secured both regular season and tournament titles.

Schneeman, Willis and Pittman represented the Lions as first-team All-HCAC selections as well.

They landed five players on the second team Dotson, Jordan Schneider (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Ursula HS), Kerigan Pollard, Alena Schirripa (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick HS) and Paige Adams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods HS) were all second-teamers.

Alondra Sotelo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods HS) rounded out the team's honorees, being named honorable mention. The selection of Sotelo means that the entire backline and goalkeeper were named All-HCAC.
