Southern Ohio ESC earns High-Performing ESC designation for 10th consecutive year
The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a High-Performing ESC by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (DEW) for the 10th consecutive year.
This statewide distinction highlights SOESC’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective services that support students, families and educators across the region.
To achieve the High-Performing ESC designation, an ESC must generate cost savings of at least 5% across selected service areas for its client school districts compared to providing the services internally or through another provider. Ohio’s ESCs far exceeded this benchmark in Fiscal Year 2025, averaging 38.48% savings statewide, which totaled over $108.9 million in just five service areas. The total cost savings percentage for the SOESC and client districts for Fiscal Year 2025 was 18.19%, representing an annual cost savings of $237,343.47 in just five service areas to client districts within the region.
