Princesses brave the elements for a royal day

They braved thunderstorms, floods and tornadoes but, luckily, the beautiful princesses arrived safely in town. On Saturday, May 22, five princesses rolled into Hillsboro in a grand carriage. The royalty included Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Prince Charming somehow got lost along the way, perhaps he refused to stop and ask for directions.
The princesses were thrilled to meet all the little princesses from our area. As the little ones dined on pancakes, sausages, breakfast potatoes, fruit and cereal the princesses mingled among them chatting and taking many photo opportunities. After gathering all the autographs from Snow White, Belle, Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty the guests then went to the area where Cinderella was waiting in her carriage to meet them.
The little ones were wide eyed with excitement to see all the princesses and have the chance to have their picture taken and get their autographs. Many of the little guests even arrived dressed like their favorite princess with tiaras, jewels and fancy shoes.
The event was held at the Ponderosa Banquet Center and catered by Andrea Holt and her Ponderosa staff.
All proceeds went to benefit the Galaxy Dance Company, a non-profit organization which provides outreach programs in local schools, professional dance training, performance and choreographic opportunities, and mentorship and scholarships for young artists. The Galaxy Dance Company trains at Noreen’s School of Dance in Hillsboro.
