The 2024 Highland County Fair took place from Sept. 1-7. During the week, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter had multiple members exhibit their goat and sheep projects.

Peyton Gobin won Grand Champion County Born and Bred sheep, and placed as third Overall Showmen in sheep showmanship. Jayah Chaney placed first in her sheep showmanship class and won second in her division. Chaney was Reserve County Born and Bred Champion, and placed first and third in the market lamb show.

Chaney placed second in her goat showmanship class, and then moved on to place as 4th
Overall Market Dairy Goat. Rylea Scarberry placed third with her Jr. Doe and fifth with her market weather.

The long hours and hard work put into these animals is recognized and the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA congratulates these showmen and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
