Ladies and gentlemen, Ted and Eileen Salter performed variety act shows of puppetry, music and British pantomime for audiences, paying or not. The Salters appeared on “Truth of Consequences,” “To Tell the Truth” and “The Steve Allen Show,” as well as several short films. The Salters made Highland County their home, and Ted even wrote a song for Hillsboro entitled “Hillsboro, O-HI-O.” 

Four hundred ninety-eight electric vehicles (EVs) and over 3,200 other vehicles, including 350 Mercedes Benzes, were bound for Egypt on the ship "Fremantle Highway" when one or more of the EVs caught fire, costing at least one seaman his life and injuring several others. FBI veterans who have sworn out affidavits for FISA wiretaps told RCI they have never known the bureau to cite media stories as evidence to corroborate leads or support probable cause to obtain such all-invasive warrants from the spy court. “Absolutely not,” said former assistant FBI Director Chris Swecker. “I signed scores of FISA orders as they moved up the chain of command from the field office up to headquarters for final approval. None of them included that type of information, which is absolutely malpractice and incompetence, or worse.” 

Unlike Democrats, we understand we have a job to do, and we cannot just proceed with out-of-touch policies and the out-of-control spending that led to record-high inflation and a weak economy. With just a few more funding bills left to mark up and with bills beginning to pass the full House, we are making progress toward fulfilling our commitment.

Inquire of anyone who has lived in Highland County over this past three quarters of a century and they can give you endless examples of how this good man blessed us all. How he made all of us better. How he cared for us. Indeed, how he loved us.

Imagine if Congress had opened an inquiry then into the question of Hunter Biden’s huge salary for sitting on the board of Burisma Energy, the company controlled by oligarch Zlochevsky. Hunter Biden might be in prison now, and his father would have retired to Delaware to live out his final years in shame. Instead, Democrats in Congress put Trump on trial for daring to notice that which must not be named – the influence-peddling scheme run by Joe Biden and his kin.

In today’s world, it feels like many are coming at us telling us what to do, how to think, and throwing a guilt trip at us if we don’t do as they tell us.  

Bob will always exemplify the can-do spirit of American entrepreneurship and community leadership. He did so much for Highland County. More than most of us will ever know. Godspeed, my friend. You will be missed. Thank you for every word of encouragement.

Fentanyl is unfortunately an evil our nation continues to struggle with. In Missouri and across the country, lives continue to be taken by this deadly poison that has devastated communities and families alike. Just two milligrams – the size of 10-15 grains of table salt – is enough to take an adult life.
