Glenda Sue Borreson

Glenda Sue Borreson, 82, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at home.
 
She was born Sept. 26, 1943 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Leslie and Beatrice (Newland) Freshour.
 
She was a cook at the Snack Bar and Dairy Nook in Greenfield and was retired from Weastec after many years of employment.

She is survived by three daughters, Connie Hilliard of Hillsboro, Tammy (David) Fisher of Wilmington and Lisa Borreson of Wilmington; one son-in-law, Bob Crowder of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Connie Freshour of Greenfield and Jean Freshour of Greenfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Dick Christian Borreson, on Sept. 11, 1982; one daughter, Shirley Crowder; one granddaughter, LaTosha Benner; one great-grandson, Jordan Benner; seven brothers, Gary, Dean, Virgil, Howard, Richard “Dick,” Reynold and James “Jim” Freshour; three sisters, Helen Conley, Jean Yates and Phyllis Newlan; and both parents.
 
Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor David Boris Jr. officiating, followed by burial at the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
