    Ohio Medicaid selects Managed Care Organizations

    Ohio’s Medicaid managed care program serves approximately 1.5 million individuals 
    enrolled in Ohio’s CFC program, 129,000 enrolled in the state’s ABD program, and 37,000 children with special needs. Ohio’s Medicaid program serves more than 2.1 million low-income Ohioans.

    Lynchburg-Clay students attend District Science Fair
    On March 17, 11 students from Lynchburg-Clay High School competed in the District 17 Science Day at Wilmington College. Four students received a superior rating and seven students received an excellent rating.

    Bob Patton presents Marshall school, community history program
    Highland County sports historian Bob Patton presented an April 7 program on the history of Marshall Township and the recently razed Marshall school at the Highland House Museum. Patton, who writes the South Central Ohio League sports history column for The Highland County Press, discussed the history of Marshall High School, including the 1928 Ohio Class B Boys Basketball State Championship team, the Marshall Red Flashes, coached by Snag Emery.

    Judi Henson named chief nursing officer at Adena Health System

    Judi Henson, a longtime nurse administrator, has been named the new Chief Nursing Officer for the Adena Health System. Prior to accepting the post, she was Director of Clinical Services at the Adena Greenfield Medical Center, where she was responsible for the Emergency Department, Inpatient Surgical Services and the center’s Specialty Clinic.

    Judge Coss weighs unusual motions to dismiss
    Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss partially granted and partially overruled a motion to dismiss after an attorney argued that charges of corrupting another with drugs were “invalid” because his client was pregnant at the time of the crime, and the victim in the case was not a “person.”
