Snow emergencies in Highland, Adams counties
Highland County is under a Level 3 snow emergency, according to Highland County Sheriff Randall Sanders. There are numerous school closings throughout southern Ohio for Jan. 6.
Road conditions are deteriorating quickly. Multiple vehicles are off the roadway. Please do not travel unless it is absolutely necessary.

Mixed feelings and overall discretion by all involved
I have new tires on my 4x4 SUV. Even though Monday was my day off from my otherwise essential full-time job (where my work ID authorizes me drive on 'closed" roads to travel, plus I may also be on call for volunteer emergency services in a vast area around my residence.), I took it upon myself on Monday afternoon to visit with my family and friends and play in the snow. We had fun. It was my day off from work. I'm not a shrinking violent where 10.3 inches of snow is going to bound me up in a 'prison.' I'm in a prison the other 5 days a week. I'll just spend my free time the way I see fit.

Can we get an update on the level? I'd like to go to work today but I'm not trying to go to jail.
