By a 2-1 vote, the Washington Township trustees have decided to join Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District for its fire and EMS coverage. Trustees Jason McKee and Larry Shannon voted in favor of the proposal, while trustee Arthur Harless voted against it on Monday.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today a new plan to focus more attention on Ohio Unsolved Homicides. The effort includes listing every Ohio cold case homicide on the Attorney General's website and offering Attorney General Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) expert services.

The Ohio Association of REALTORS reports that the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement in August rose for the 16th consecutive month compared to the results from the prior year.
