On Thursday, Feb. 22, there will be a Food for All Mobile Pantry at the Greater Life Assembly Church, 12145 North Shore Drive, Hillsboro. Food will be distributed from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  

SATH (Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped), a nonprofit organization that provides leisure time activities for children with disabilities, will be holding their 25th annual charity auction March 2 at 10 a.m. in the Wharton Building at the Highland County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro. 

Coach Brad Haithcock led the Hillsboro fourth grade team to 9-0 for the season to repeat the undefeated season they had as third graders. This youth Hillsboro team is also coached by Latrell Haithcock, Nick Fauber and David Fauber.

The Highland County Planning Commission will be meeting Thursday, Feb. 15.

After going on a 10-game streak with two wins and eight losses, all of that is in the rearview mirror for the Hillsboro Indians, as they have learned from their hard times and have regained their winning ways.

The Hillsboro Utilities Committee will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at city hall, located at 130 North High Street, Hillsboro 45133. 

Earlier this season, the Hillsboro Indians lost on the road to the Washington Blue Lions by 13 points, but on Thursday night in Hillsboro, that wasn’t the case. 

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce and the Visitors Bureau of Highland County are pleased to announce their move to a new office space, within the Hillsboro Business Complex LLC, at 129 North High Street in Hillsboro. 

The Hillsboro Finance Committee will meet Monday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at city hall, located at 130 North High Street, Hillsboro. 

The Hillsboro Lady Indians won their regular-season finale on Wednesday night (Feb. 7), as they won at home against the Wilmington Lady Hurricane, 51-48. 

Tickets are still available for the 12th annual Ag is Everyone’s Business event scheduled for Friday, March 1 at Boeckmann Farms, owned and operated by Jason and Amy Boeckmann, located north of Hillsboro. This event is presented annually by the Highland County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by many local businesses.
