Bright Elementary has announced its perfect attendance and Honor Roll for first nine weeks.

The Ohio Fourth District Court of Appeals has dismissed an appeal from a Highland County man convicted on weapons charges.
 According to the court's opinion published online Friday, Robert Gibson appealed his conviction for having weapons under disability.

The Greenfield Historical Society’s Holiday Tour of Homes will be held this year on Sunday, Dec. 5 from noon-5 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Home Building and Loan beginning Nov. 22 in Greenfield, or on the day of the tour at the Grain and Hay Building, Jefferson St. and McArthur Way,Greenfield, and at each home.

Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Gary Heaton met with Heather Gibson on the proposed budget for the Help Me Grow program during the commission's Nov. 17 meeting. Gibson said she is anticipating a budget that closely resembles the current budget for the coming fiscal year. “I’m projecting the same budget, pending any changes in April (2011),” she said.

Coach Sam Snyder, now in his second year at Hillsboro, had three big men underneath who could conceivably dominate the league: 6’5” Robbie Jackson, 6’3” Tony Cumberland and 6’2” Mark Cumberland would present some major problems for SCOL coaches. And Brian Price, Will Gregory, Mark Snyder and David Hilliard gave the Indians an outside threat and good ball-handling and passing skills, as well.

Saturday night supper party this weekend
    Join us on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 5-9 p.m. for a Saturday night supper party. A dinner of pork chops, whipped potatoes & gravy, green beans, bread & butter, beverage and dessert will be served from 5-5:45 p.m., followed by dancing, Euchre, pool and Corn Hole.  Live Country Music will be provided by the Over the Hill Gang. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door.

The Knights of Pythias Lodge 696 will hold a Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 18 beginning at 5:45, with a dinner at 6:15 p.m. (bring a covered dish). Santa will arrive at 7:30 p.m. There will be drawings, door prizes, 50/50 drawings, games, fun, food, and prizes.
