Oak Ridge fire destroys home; multiple fires across county

No injuries were reported in a structure fire on Oak Ridge off of state Route 247 Friday afternoon, but damages are estimated in excess of $350,000, and one family has been left without a home. 

In addition to the structure fire, there were multiple brush fires across Highland County Friday afternoon according to Hillsboro Fire and Rescue.

Coonrod files notice of appeal

Wesley Coonrod has filed documents in the Pickaway County Clerk of Courts Office, seeking an appeal on his convictions of manslaughter.

Coonrod's attorney Eric J. Allen, of Columbus, who was appointed by the court to represent Coonrod on Feb. 9, filed the notice of appeal Friday.
