Stroke, osteoporosis screenings coming to Greenfield
Residents living in and around the Greenfield community can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. Greenfield First United Methodist Church will host Life Line Screening on March 4 at their building at 405 South Street.

DeWine testifies on Fannie Mae and its former executives over legal bills
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine testified last week before the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee regarding the astronomical amount of U.S. taxpayer dollars going to pay for attorney fees to defend Fannie Mae and its former executives. At least $132 million has been spent by taxpayers on legal fees in the case so far, and the tab keeps rising.
2011-12 deer hunting proposals made to Ohio Wildlife Council
One change was proposed to the deer hunting regulations for 2011-12, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife. The proposed change is to move Fayette County from Deer Zone B to Zone A.
