Hernandez's walk-off sends Reds to Opening Day win over Brewers
The 2011 edition of Opening Day in Cincinnati belongs to Ramon Hernandez. Hernandez stepped to the plate with the Cincinnati Reds down to their final out. Trailing by two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, the 12-year veteran simply sent the second pitch he saw into the right field bull pen, giving the Reds a 7-6 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ball Park in walk-off fashion.

39th Annual Rotary Telethon raises $120,000 WATCH THE VIDEO
The 39th annual Rotary telethon has collected $120,000 to go toward "people helping people" at the Highland County Society for Children and Adults.
Despite Highland County's economic difficulties, double-digit unemployment and personal financial hardships, area residents poured in dollars Wednesday night. Throughout the night, donors and organizers said supporting the society is a part of hometown pride, because 100 percent of the funds stay in Highland County.
SB 5 passes, signed by governor
Senate Bill 5 was passed in House Wednesday, 53-44, after hours of debate over the controversial bill that seeks to limit collective bargaining or public employees.
 The Republican-introduced has been signed by Gov. John Kasich.

 Ohio 86th District Rep. Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) told The Highland County Press he voted for the bill.
