Registration for boys and girls ages 4-8 years old who wish to participate in Coaches Pitch will be on Friday, April 8 from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 from 2-4 p.m. at Liberty Park Soccer Concession Stand.

After reading the HCP Community Happenings about the County Commission and VFW selling bricks for the Veterans' Memorial, I happened to wonder if people remember there were a lot of women veterans from previous wars and also young women as well as men currently serving overseas.

The Highland Amateur Radio Association will host America Radio Relay League Great Lakes Director Dr. Jim Weaver as a guest speaker at its April meeting, according to association president Roger Gladdish. The meeting will be held in the basement conference room at the Highland County Administration Building in Hillsboro on Tuesday evening, April 12 at 7:30 p.m.

NKU starter Blake Bagshaw (1-1) went five innings and collected the win. Bagshaw struck out two and allowed four hits. Tim Clark pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Bagshaw to close out the victory.
