Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of High Street (US 62) and Main Street (US 50) in uptown Hillsboro Wednesday evening.

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility have reopened U.S. Route 62 following emergency repairs due to a pavement collapse.

The Ohio Department of Health issued a news release on Dec. 8 about rising flu activity, and the geographic spread being elevated to “regional.” Flu activity in Ohio has now been elevated to “widespread,” the highest level.
