Hillsboro Christian Academy Lady Crusaders start season 3-0

LEBANON – The Hillsboro Christian Academy Lady Crusaders began their volleyball season winning their first three games. On Thursday, Aug. 17, the Lady Crusaders defeated Calvary Christian Academy in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-8 and 25-17. The following night, the Lady Crusaders defeated Liberty Bible Academy in four sets losing the first set 25-23, then winning the final three sets 25-23, 25-16 and 25-17.
Carlee Puckett was named Player of the Game in Thursday’s game against CCA and Taylor Barber was named Player of the Game in Friday’s game against LBA.
Annie Henderson led the Lady Crusaders in assists and playable passes against CCA with 12 and 36, respectively. Puckett led the team in kills with nine and aces with 10. Barber led the team in serves in play with 11.
Henderson led in assists and playable passes again during the LBA game with 12 and 43, respectively. Puckett led in kills with six against LBA. Barber had nine aces against LBA while Evon Reed led in serves in play with 16, seven of which came in the first set.
The Lady Crusaders are now 3-0 to start the season and look to be 4-0 as they take on the Ross County Christian Academy Lady Eagles on Aug. 22.
