    Volley for a Cure: Lady Lions win at LC

    Though the match was for a Southern Hills League victory, the night was really for Volley for a Cure. The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs hosted the Fairfield Lady Lions as the friendly rivals played to a three-game match win by the Lady Lions, but the teams raised money through raffles, bake sales and T-shirt sales at the event Thursday night at LCHS.

    The Fairfield Lady Lions have rebounded in a hurry. After losing their first Southern Hills League match on Tuesday, they came back and took sole possession of first place in the league with a four-game match victory Thursday, defeating the host Fayetteville Lady Rockets.
