“I am honored to receive the SSU Early Career Teaching Award,” said Richey. “This is recognition for all of the hard work I have put into my students since coming to SSU in 2020. I have been blessed to be surrounded with great faculty and support staff in the Dental Hygiene program and in the College of Professional Studies. I love working with students and helping to educate future dental hygiene professionals here at SSU.”

Before coming to SSU, Richey worked as a Clinical Registered Dental Hygienist at private practices focusing on periodontal and general dentistry.
