Buckskin Elementary School fifth-graders recently celebrated their achievements in the D.A.R.E. program with a graduation, followed by a pizza party.

Rural King in Hillsboro recently presented a $1,000 check to support the McClain FFA program.

Alyssa Mays, a student at Southern State Community College and senior at North Adams High School, has been named a 2021 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship.

On Saturday, March 6, McClain FFA member Cade Sponcil competed in the virtual State Public Speaking Contest.

On Thursday, Feb. 25, McClain FFA member Aly Murphy participated in an over-the-phone job interview for State Finals for the Job Interview Contest.

On Friday, Feb. 26, the McClain FFA Officer Team went over to the Greenfield Elementary school to demonstrate and complete a fun activity about soil profiles with the kids.

At the end of 2016, Kirstin Parker Whitcomb found herself a newly single parent, uncertain of her future, with a newborn and toddler. A few months later, she enrolled at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College.
