Post 129 got into the swing of things Thursday afternoon with a wooden bat in Chillicothe. At Ross County Park, the home of the Post 62 River Bats, the Hillsboro team scored its third wood bat win of the summer with a 7-6 shootout victory over Post 23.
The four-game winning streak of Hillsboro Post 129 was snapped Wednesday evening at Mary Lou Patton Park, in Chillicothe. The Hillsboro squad was unable to battle back from a five-run fifth inning by Post 757 in an 11-4 loss.
The annual Highland County Shootout (boys varsity basketball) will be held on Saturday, June 26 at Hillsboro High School. The first game is in the Hillsboro High School gym, second game listed will be played in the Hillsboro Middle School gym.

The Fairfield Lady Lions had its tournament run come to an end Thursday evening in a Division IV SE District semifinal game at Minford High School, to the Eastern Meigs Lady Eagles by a score of 10-0.
