God offers Holy Communion to spiritually strengthen His children on the difficult journey to Heaven. The greatest joy of my life has been to serve the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus for 45 years.

On the evening of His Resurrection, Jesus appeared to His Apostles who were scared out of their wits. He came to show them He truly is alive. He came to offer them forgiveness. When Jesus said, "Peace be with you," He was also implying, "I forgive you for deserting Me. I forgive you for when I needed you the most you abandoned Me." 

A dad approached me after the 2 p.m. Mass I celebrated at Children's Hospital last Sunday. He made an observation that perplexed him: "This Mass was so different than other Masses I attended." 

Making a child happy makes God happy. A little baby who is so small he or she could fit in your hand is directly connected to the all powerful God. Society considers them the least because they are weak and vulnerable. God says they are the greatest in His Kingdom.

Help others overcome their troubled hearts. Help them to let God in.

Jesus uses the "Good Shepherd" image to reveal a divine truth: "I will never abandon you."

Why did Jesus use the breaking of bread to reveal Himself? Because Jesus uses the breaking of bread as a symbol of His Body being broken on the cross to give you the abundance of life.

Jesus gives you Peace through His wounds. He wants you to know He understands what you are going through. Jesus wants you to believe He never turns a deaf ear to your cries for help.

The spiritual eyes of faith shows you that Jesus does not abandon you in your time of need. Faith opens your eyes to see Jesus by your side whether you're on the mountain top of joy or the valley of sorrow. 

I found 100 verses about the Kingdom of God in the Bible. But nowhere did I find a definition of the Kingdom of God. Please permit my humble attempt to define the Kingdom as I understand it.

God shows no partiality. He values everyone. He offers His love to everyone. God said in Romans 5:8, "God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful."

I wonder how I will react when I see God in all His Divine Glory. The Bible records what happened when Peter, James and John saw light shining from the earthly body of Jesus. They collapsed. I will lay prostrate on the ground, too afraid to look at His radiant light. Then Jesus will tell me to "Rise and do not be afraid." 

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4.)

You love God better through the sacrifices you make and sufferings you endure for another. Mildred would sometimes surprise me by cooking my favorite dish – Beefaroni. She called it "goulash." I hope it's on the menu at God's Heavenly Banquet.

Jesus is the Light that reveals not only the Kingdom of God, but the values that God considers most important in His Kingdom.
