The Summer 2023 4-H Awards Ceremony was held July 20 in the auditorium of Southern State Community College.

Congratulations to all those who competed.

Ohio State Fair qualifiers were recognized, including the following.

• Natural Resources Day:
Ohio Birds, Tucker Tilley of Marshall Jr. Farmers;

Beekeeping - Senior, Sydney Hamilton of Highland County Poultry, Pigs and Lambs;

Beginning Fishing, Tucker Tilley of Marshall Jr. Farmers;

Geology, Wyatt Morrow of Fab Five.

• Veterinary Science Day:
On the Cutting Edge, Hailey Halterman of Country Critters.

• Workforce Preparation Day:
Here, There, Ag Careers Are Everywhere, Emily Haines of Highland Harvesters.

• Creative Arts Day:
Self-Determined Braille Art, Maddy Wiseman of Fab Five;

My Favorite Things - Junior, Tucker Tilley of Marshall Jr. Farmers;

Scrapbooking - Senior, Addison Goddard of Greene Countrie Farm Hands.

• Leadership Day:
Diversity: The Source of Our Strength, Wyatt Morrow of Fab Five.

• Self-Determined Day:
Self-Determined Sourdough, Sydney Hamilton of Highland County Poultry, Pigs and Lambs.

• Demonstrations:
Individual Junior - How to Grill a Perfect Steak, Blake Osborn of Premier Showmen.
