Whyle was part of 53 wins over his five years at UC. He concluded his career by participating in the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl.

University of Cincinnati wide receiver Tyler Scott was selected by the Chicago Bears with the 133rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft on Saturday at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.

The Norton, Ohio native becomes the ninth UC wide receiver ever drafted and the first Bearcat selected by the Bears since tackle Bob Wright was grabbed in the 11th round in 1979.

Scott joins teammate and best friend Tre Tucker (No. 100, third round, Raiders) as draft picks, marking the first time two Cincinnati wide receivers were selected in the same draft.

Scott proved to be one of the most explosive wide receivers in the country in 2022, leading UC with 54 receptions, 899 yards and nine touchdown catches en route to Second Team All-AAC accolades. He finished his career with 87 receptions for 1,438 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 16.5 yards per catch for his career.

For his career, he averaged 44.6 yards per touchdown on his 14 career scores with each exceeding 20 yards.

He memorably scored an 81-yard touchdown on the first pass of the 2021 season from quarterback Desmond Ridder. Scott finished his junior season with 520 yards and five touchdowns on 30 catches, averaging 17.3 yards per catch to rank second in the AAC and help lead Cincinnati to the College Football Playoff and a 13-1 record.

University of Cincinnati wide receiver Tre Tucker was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 100th overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday night at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.

Tucker is the eighth Bearcats' wide receiver selected all-time and his pick marks the second straight year a Bearcat was chosen with the 100th overall pick, joining Myjai Sanders in 2022.

UC has now had wide receivers taken in consecutive drafts with Tucker following 2022 second-round pick Alec Pierce (Indianapolis Colts).

Tucker, a four-year player and team captain, tallied 52 catches for 671 yards and three scores in 2022. He wrapped up his career as one of the top returners in school history, twice collecting all-conference honors. He had two kick return touchdowns and his 1,670 kick return yards are the third-most in school history.

The Akron, Ohio native finished with 112 receptions for 1,433 yards and eight touchdown catches over 50 games. He added 16 tackles on special teams, proving to be a versatile weapon for the Bearcats.

He also earned a degree in sports administration and participated in the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl.

Tucker's selection marks the eighth consecutive draft that a Bearcat has been picked.

He's the first UC player selected by the Raiders since defensive back John Bowie was picked in the fourth round in 2007.

Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield begins his first season at the helm of the Bearcats this fall. UC returns a pair of All-Americans in Associated Press third-team honorees defensive tackle Dontay Corleone and punter Mason Fletcher.
