Super DIRTcar Series and Atomic Speedway officials cancel Rumble in the Hills

CHILLICOTHE — Super DIRTcar Series and Atomic Speedway officials have been closely monitoring weather for this weekend’s Rumble in the Hills and determined Tuesday afternoon that heavy rain on Friday followed by dropping temperatures and high winds in the southern Ohio region will make it impossible for the event to take place as scheduled. With teams and fans traveling long distance from the Northeast, the event will be canceled.

Officials have looked to move the event to another date, but none works for both parties this season. Those who purchased tickets in advance can contact the speedway by going to atomicspeedway.net.

The Super DIRTcar Series will be back in action Saturday, April 15, at Can-Am Speedway for the Thunder on the 1000 Islands showcase event — a 75-lap, $7,500-to-win payday.
