The Highland County Press WILMINGTON - Led by four scores from senior running back Airic Steagall, the Hillsboro Indians improved to 4-2 overall, going undefeated in non-league play, as they took down the Blanchester Wildcats 26-6 Firday night at Wilmington College. The game was moved from Blanchester High School due to poor field conditions. Steagall had two 1-yard touchdown carries in the first half, giving the Indians a 14-0 lead. After the Wildcats scored to cut the Tribe's lead to 14-6 (BHS missed the PAT), Steagall again reached the end zone, catching a 60-plus yard pass from junior quarterback Aric Carroll for a 20-6 lead in the third quarter. Steagall scored one more touchdown in the second half for the 26-6 win. HHS missed their final two PAT attempts. In the South Central Ohio League the Indians are 0-2, but are 4-2 on the season overall. The loss drops Blanchester to 0-6 on the year. The Indians will travel to face the Golden Eagles of Madison-Plains next Friday at MPHS, with a kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MPHS was defeated by the Miami Trace Panthers Friday. [[In-content Ad]]
