Lions Club A league team defeats NCB

The Lions Club A-league baseball team won their first game of the season June 6, defeating the NCB baseball team, 5-4 at Shaffer Park.

Treavor Yeager went 2-for-3 for the Lions Club team with two doubles, one RBI and two runs. Dylan Boone was 2-for-2 with one walk and three runs. Rounding out the team scoring were Phillip Mycroft (2-for-3, one RBI) and Brandon Lowe (1-for-3, two RBIs).

Casey Nace tallied eight strikeouts while giving up seven hits and one walk for the Lions Club team. Yeager was credited with the save, giving up one walk and striking out four.

Losing pitchers for the NCB team were Heath, who struck out five and gave up four hits, and Kelton, who gave up five hits and struck out 10.

The Lions Club team stands at 1-3 overall. The NCB team is 3-1.
