HILLSBORO - Hillsboro Christian Academy had its first varsity basketball player sign a letter of intent to play basketball with a college on April 11.
Bryson Willey, a two-year starter on the Crusaders varsity basketball team, this week signed to play for Ohio Christian University’s basketball team for the upcoming season as a college freshman.
Willey set three school records for the Crusaders in his senior season of varsity basketball with 43 points in a game, 10 three-point baskets in a game and the single-season scoring record with 390 points.
Willey will be joining the OCU Trailblazers, who finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 13-16 and a conference record of 8-10.
The Crusaders played at OCU during Willey’s junior season where they took on the DePaul Cristo Rey Bruins in the Ohio Christian University Christmas Shootout on Dec. 17, 2022.
Congratulations to Willey.
