Highland County teen Kelsie Crowder will be showcasing her talents at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif., courtesy of Major League Baseball (MLB) and RCX Sports. Crowder has earned an all-expenses-paid trip to the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run (PHR) finals, in conjunction with Game Two of the World Series.

In July, Crowder won the first round of PHR, which was held at Mitchell Park in Greenfield, where her score earned her the invite to compete at the Cincinnati Reds team competition at Great American Ballpark.

In August, she competed against other athletes within the Ohio Valley region in Cincinnati and emerged victorious as the Cincinnati Reds 13-14u Team Champion.

Each MLB team hosts a team challenge, including Puerto Rico and the Little League World Series. From there, MLB and RCX invite the top four athletes in each division to compete at the World Series. This invite includes a trip to the home team of the World Series, which this year will be the Los Angeles Dodgers. She will be in attendance for Game Two of the World Series and competing in the finals at Dodgers Stadium.

Crowder fell in love with the game of softball at a young age when she started playing in the Paint Valley Youth League in Bainbridge. From there, her love for the game blossomed into a journey of competitive travel softball for the past seven years. This journey has taken her across the country, playing in multiple states at the nations top-tiered tournaments.

Crowder wants to thank all of those who have made this journey possible and wishes to encourage young female athletes to chase their dreams.
