McClain Tigers 8th-grade team triumphs in tournament opener

The Greenfield McClain Tigers 8th-grade boys' basketball team secured a 40-30 victory over Miami Trace in the first round of the tournament on Monday night. 

The Tigers showcased their skill and teamwork, advancing to the next round with a strong performance on both ends of the court.

Leading the charge for McClain was Allison, who led the scoreboard with 16 points. Banks contributed 9 points, followed by Clendaniel with 6, Stephens with 4, Marsh with 3, and Bihl with 2.

The Tigers' defense held steady against a competitive Miami Trace squad, sealing the win in front of an energized home crowd. The team now looks ahead to their next matchup against Hillsboro as they continue their tournament run.
