Elementary Basketball League organizational meeting set for Sept. 18

The organizational meeting for the 2012-13 Highland County Elementary Basketball League will be on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the cafetorium at the Bright Local Elementary School on Fair Ridge Rd. at Sugar Tree Ridge.

The league will have divisions for fourth, fifth and sixth grade boys and girls. League dates will start on Nov. 3, playing on 10 Saturday dates through January with a league tourney starting on Jan. 27, 2013.

Interested parties should attend the meeting for league entry information. The deadline to enter a team for the season will be Oct. 14. Due to the popularity of the league and the number of gyms to use on league dates, there may be a limit on the number of teams in each division.

The topics of team competitiveness, skill level and player development will be discussed.
