A four-goal performance in the Heidelberg University match on Saturday rewards Wilmington College junior forward Kaden Young with the honor of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the OAC.

Young, from Salem, Ore., receives this honor for the first time in his career.

Against Heidelberg, Young scored his four goals against five shots-on-goal in 45 minutes of action. His goals came in the fifth, seventh, ninth and 49th minutes.

Through this 2024 campaign, Young has 10 goals and one assist from starting in all 11 matches for the Quakers.

Young has two more multi-goal games, scoring two goals each in the matches against Mount St. Joseph University on Aug. 30 and against Earlham College on Sept. 21.

Young ranks second in the OAC in goals and is tied for second in points. He also ranks the highest on the team in shot percentage and shot-on-goal percentage among players taking 10 or more shots.

Young is also perfect in penalty attempts, having converted two.

Across his career, Young has appeared in 34 matches, with 23 starts. In those 34 matches, he has scored 14 goals and amassed seven assists.
