Whiteoak Lady Wildcats place 14th at Div. II State Bowling Tournament

The 2024-25 Division II OHSAA State Girls Bowling Tournament took place on Friday, Feb. 28 at HP Lanes where the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats placed 14th overall out of 16 teams that competed. 

WHS — making their program's state debut — had a regulation total of 2,480 pins, with a Baker total of 710 for a team total of 3,190 pins.

In their regulation games the Lady ‘Cats had scores of 787, 886, and 807. Their Baker scores were 156, 134, 166, 118, and 136 as WHS finished -214 pins away from the final cut of the Top 8. 

Whiteoak’s top finisher was junior Trulie Lamb with a score of 544 for 28th place. She had scores of 160, 201, and 183 as the event had over 100 bowlers competing.

Next was junior Matti Conrad with a score of 503 for 51st place overall. Conrad had scores of 152, 177 and 174. 

Whiteoak’s Olivia Michaels placed 54th overall. The junior had scores of 157, 180, and 162 for a total score of 499. 

In 55th place was WHS junior Madison Davidson with a 498 score, as her game scores were 166, 181, and 151. 

Senior Shauna Brown of Whiteoak placed 77th overall with a final total of 436, with game scores of 152, 147, and 137. 

The individual state champion girls bowler in Division II was Napoleon junior Arianna Kiessling with a score of 703. 

The Division II state champions girls bowling team was Urbana.

In second place was Fairport Harbor Fairport Harding, and the rest of the Top 8 were St.Paris Graham Local, Bryan, St. Mary’s Memorial, Napoleon, Rootstown, and Mechanicsburg. 

Ninth through 16th places went to: Versailles, Elyria Open Door Christian, Struthers, Fort Recovery, Carrollton, Whiteoak, East Liverpool, and Hebron Lakewood.
