Lynchburg-Clay hosts annual bowling tournament

Lynchburg-Clay High School hosted their annual bowling invitational on Monday, Jan. 15.
Schools that participated were Bethel-Tate, Fairfield, Eastern, Miami Trace, Whiteoak, Ripley and Lynchburg-Clay.
For the girls event, Lynchburg-Clay was the winning team, followed by Eastern as runners-up. The top five individuals were: Onesti Evans (MT), Kaylee Randolph (BT), Kylee Chaney (LC), Sarah McKinney (LC) and Ali Bell (Eastern).
The boys event was won by Miami Trace, with Fairfield finishing second. The top five boys were: Jake Manbevers (MT), Oakley Lewis (LC), Jhace Pryor (BT), Van Bennington (FF) and Jake Ward (WO).
The LC girls team finished with a total score of 3,573, led by Chaney, who bowled a 571, and McKinney, who scored a 560. Also for LC, individual scores included Leonna Wallace (517), Maddie Brault (494), Madison Baker (324, two games) and Avery Wallace (121, one game).
Whiteoak girls were fifth as a team, as they had a total score of 2,830. Their top bowler was Shawna Brown, who finished 11th with a 470. Other WHS scores included Matti Conrad (458), Madison Davidson (417), Anne Brown (391) and Olivia Michaels (274).
Fairfield girls were sixth place overall, scoring a 2,765. Their top bowler, Hannah Ferguson, was 10th with a 485. Other Fairfield final scores included Braylee Bartley (429), Campbell Anne Friend (333), Jayden Howard (315, two games), Cheyenne Byler (201, two games) and McKinley Cox (93, one game).
In the Fairfield boys team’s runner-up finish, they scored a 3,876, led by Bennington’s 635 score. Also for Fairfield, scores included Jordan Bennington (619), Ethan Fetters (580) and Raymond Gleadle (405).
The host Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs were third as a team, with a score of 3,790. Along with Lewis’ 649 score, other LC totals included Noah Bitzer (521), Damien Fry (519), Micah Hall (512) and Frank Bullins (478).
Whiteoak followed in fourth place, with a team score of 3,398, with Ward compiling a 622 score. Other WHS individual scores included Isaiah Roe (614), Nicholai Wing (503), Shaun Mitchell (372), Landen Eyre (254, one game) and Gabe Ulreu (89, one game).
