Bailey’s goal sends Hillsboro to win over Zane Trace
The Hillsboro Indians boys soccer team earned a solid non-conference win on Tuesday night (Aug. 20) by defeating the visiting Zane Trace Pioneers by a 1-0 score.
The home win by the Indians saw them score their lone goal in the second half, as senior Wesley Bailey scored the game-winning goal with the assist from fellow senior Judah Brandyberry.
For the game, the Indians totaled 23 shots, and at keeper was senior Ryan Fender for the shutout.
The win sends the Indians to a 2-0 overall record, and they are scheduled to play again Thursday, Aug. 22 at home against the Fairfield Lions at 7 p.m. in non-conference play.
