Whiteoak wins at New Boston
The Wihiteoak Wildcats gained a valuable non-conference win on Tuesday night by defeating the host Glenwood New Boston Jeeps by a 6-1 score.
Tyler Wessner led Whiteoak with a five-goal game against the Jeeps, while the other WHS goal was an own goal by New Boston.
Abe Flader and Kenyon Hughes each earned an assist.
At goal for the Wildcats was Jackson Tedford with eight saves in the non-conference win.
Whiteoak now stands at 3-2-0 overall, and in the SHAC standings they are 0-2-0.

Mustangs shut out Fayetteville
Defense was the name of the game for the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs on Wednesday, as they traveled to Fayetteville and defeated the Rockets in SHAC action by a 2-0 score.
Cody Bell scored both goals for the Mustangs in their conference win, while assists went to Aric Slack and Braedon West.
Isaac Eyre was at goal for the shutout for LCHS, finishing with seven saves.
The SHAC win keeps the Mustangs tied for first place in the conference with North Adams, as both teams are 4-0-0 in conference play.
Overall, LCHS stands at 5-1-0.
Next for the Mustangs is a home game Saturday, Sept. 14 against the Wheelersburg Pirates at 1 p.m. at LCHS in non-conference action.

Indians defeat Miami Trace
The Hillsboro Indians boys soccer team gained a big Frontier Athletic Conference win on Thursday evening by going on the road to Fayette County and defeating the host Miami Trace Panthers by a 4-2 score.
Wesley Bailey scored two goals for the Indians in the win, while Ryan Howland and Austin Bledsoe each added a goal.
Hillsboro’s win keeps them in a tie for second place in the FAC with a 2-1-0 record with Jackson, who also has the same conference mark. In first place is Chillicothe at 2-0-0.
Overall, the Indians are now 5-1-0.
Next for Hillsboro is a non-conference contest Monday, Sept. 16 on the road at Western Brown.

Lady Indians drop contest at Miami Trace
The Hillsboro Lady Indians were unable to gain an FAC victory on Thursday, falling to the host Miami Trace Lady Panthers by a 4-2 score.
Hillsboro’s goals were scored by Peighton Bledsoe, with an assist by Kobie Miles, and Taylor Thoroman off a corner kick from Arianna Evans.
Hillsboro now sits at 4-3-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the FAC standings. Miami Trace is 1-3-0 in the FAC an 4-3-0 overall.
Next for the Lady Indians is a road non-conference game on Monday, Sept. 16 at Western Brown.

Lady Mustangs tie with Fayetteville
Lynchburg-Clay kept their non-loss streak of 10-plus years going on Thursday night, but it was a little too close for comfort, as they tied with the Fayetteville Lady Rockets by a 1-1 score at FHS.
The lone goal for the Lady Rockets was scored by Lilly Carlier with the assists from Josie Pfeiffer. Jada Kassner was at goal for FHS, finishing with 15 saves.
Scoring the goal for Lynchburg-Clay was Miranda Smith.
The Lady Mustangs are now 1-0-1 in the SHAC and 2-2-1 overall.
Fayetteville is now 2-0-1 in the SHAC standings and 6-0-2 overall.
Next for LCHS is a SHAC game on Saturday, Sept. 14 against the North Adams Lady Green Devils at NAHS with an 11 a.m. start.
