Lady Lions fall to Huntington in 3 sets
Fairfield hosted Huntington Monday evening in a non-conference match, falling in three straight sets to their visitor from the Scioto Valley Conference.
FHS lost by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-15.
FHS totaled 29 kills as Jobey Hattan had 16, followed by Remi Moon with five. Others with kills were Mackenzie Anderson (three), McKinley Cox (three) and Kelsey Clark (two).
Clark led the Lady Lions with 25 assists, as the team totaled 29. Others with assists were Anderson (two), Hattan (one) and Moon (one).
Fairfield also had 10 aces against Huntington, with Clark, Cox, Hattan and Moon each having two apiece. Anderson and Alyssa Bales each collected one ace.
The Lady Lions finished with 72 digs, as the leader was Bales with 16, followed by Hattan having 15 digs, and Anderson finished with 14 digs. Clark ended the game with 12 digs, Moon had 11, Cox totaled three and with one dig was Jaeden Drury.
Fairfield also totaled four blocks, and there were from Clark and Drury with two blocks each.

Lynchburg-Clay sweeps East Clinton
Monday was an excellent start to the week for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs, with their play in their non-conference match against East Clinton pushing them to a sweeping victory.
LCHS won in three sets, winning by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 26-24.
For the match, the Lady Mustangs finished with 66 digs, 27 kills, 25 assists, 10 aces and two blocks.
Leading the Lady Mustangs in kills was Halle Greene with nine, and teammate Matalyn Magee totaled seven. LCHS also had five kills from Addy Carraher, three from Kylie O’Connor and three by Avery Shope.
Ava McLaughlin led LCHS with 13 assists, and Carraher was next collecting eight assists. There was also Joslyn Rockey and Ashlynn Wilson each finishing with two assists.
Of the 10 aces from Lynchburg-Clay, Rockey, Shope, Carraher and Melany Stephenson each had two, while McLaughlin and O’Connor had one ace each.
Lynchburg-Clay’s 66 digs consisted of 14 by Rockey, 11 from Carraher and 11 by Shope. LCHS also had eight digs by Greene, six by McLaughlin, three from Magee, three by Stephenson and one each by Jules Vesey and Ashlynn Wilson.
The Lady Mustangs also had two blocks, as Magee and O’Connor each had one.

Whiteoak defeats Felicity-Franklin; drops volleyball match to Fayetteville
Monday evening the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats won on senior night, defeating visiting Felicity-Franklin in three straight sets for their second win of the ’24 season.
Seniors honored for WHS were Georgia Neuhaus, Elly McMullen, Addison Roberts, Madison Schum and Kylee Hamm.
On Tuesday, WHS lost a Southern Hills Athletic Conference match to the visiting Fayetteville Lady Rockets in three sets.
Whiteoak lost by scores of 25-23, 25-16 and 25-22.
WHS now stands at 2-19 overall and 1-11 in the SHAC.

Hillsboro wins tri-match against Eastern and Blanchester
The Hillsboro Lady Indians played a tri-match on Monday, traveling to Clinton County to face Blanchester and Eastern at BHS, as HHS won both non-conference matches.
HHS defeated Eastern in a best-of-three match at 25-10 and 25-09.
The Lady Indians were led in kills against EHS by Samantha Tipton with 14, and teammates with kills also included Tylee Davis (five), Camryn Spruell (two), Ryan Wagoner (two) and Allie Roush (one).
The aces leader was Davis with eight, while Kayla Seeling totaled two, Jadi Howland had one ace and Spruell also had an ace.
The Lady Indians also had a block, credited to Tipton. HHS totaled 27 digs, with Davis leading with nine, and Howland was next with seven. Others credited with digs were Wagoner (five), Addison Huff (two), Seeling (two) and Spruell (two).
The assists leader was Seeling with 20, as she had every assist for the Lady Indians.
Against Blanchester, Hillsboro won by scores of 25-18 and 25-19.
In the victory over the Lady Wildcats, Hillsboro totaled 21 kills with Tipton totaling seven, Davis finishing with four, Spruell totaling four, Wagoner having three and Roush adding three.
HHS also had nine aces in the non-conference win, as Seeling totaled five, and she was followed by Davis (two), Tipton (one) and Spruell (one).
Hillsboro collected 29 digs as a team, and leading the way was Howland with eight. Having five digs each were Roush and Davis. Others with digs included Seeling (two), Tipton (two), Spruell (two) and Huff (one).
In the 21-assist game against Blanchester, Hillsboro was led by Seeling with 18, while Wagoner, Tipton and Roush each had one assist.
The two wins leave the Lady Indians with an overall record of 13-7, and they finished the FAC schedule with a record of 7-3.

Lynchburg-Clay earns SHAC win over Eastern in 3 sets
The Lady Mustangs of Lynchburg-Clay earned their 15th win of the ’24 season on Tuesday by defeating the visiting Eastern Lady Warriors in SHAC action in three consecutive sets.
LCHS also earned their 10th SHAC win of the season in the victory over Eastern by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-11.
Lynchburg-Clay had 61 digs, 20 kills, 20 assists, 13 aces and eight blocks against the Lady Warriors.
Morgan Baker finished with one ace and four digs for LCHS, while teammate Addy Carraher totaled eight assists, four kills, three aces and two digs.
Ava Doughman finished the win with three aces and seven digs. Teammate Halle Greene totaled five kills and three digs against Eastern.
Matalyn Magee totaled two kills, two digs and had seven blocks.
Ava McLaughlin finished with 11 assists and six digs. LCHS also had Kylie O’Connor ended the match with six kills, three aces, two digs and one block.
Joslyn Rockey finished with 19 digs against Eastern, and teammate Avery Shope totaled 15 digs, three kills, three aces and one assist. Ashlynn Wilson finished with one dig.
LCHS now stands at 10-3 in the Division I SHAC standings, finishing the season in second place in the DI conference standings. Overall, the Lady Mustangs are 15-5.
