McClain, Hillsboro play in FAC No. 3 girls golf event

The Frontier Athletic Conference held their third conference event for the 2026 girls golf season on Thursday, Aug. 20 at The Green in Washington Court House where it was Chillicothe winning the team event for the day. 

CHS won the event with a score of 218 as a team, and the runner-up was Miami Trace at 245. In third was Jackson with a 249 score. Hillsboro was fourth place with a score of 259, and in fifth place was McClain at 261. Washington (three team members) had a 141 score as their score didn’t count in the team standings. 

The match medalist was Chillicothe freshman Maggie Bustine, and in second was CHS freshman Allie Johnson with a 52 score. The rest of the Top 5 was Chillicothe’s Cadie Boltenhouse (senior, 55), Miami Trace’s Alison Reeves (senior, 58), and Jackson’s Alanta Gibson (junior, 58). 

Hillsboro’s scores included: Raeden Workman (sophomore, 62), Kaydence Butler (freshman, 65), Brianna Foxx (junior, 66), Carey Skeens (senior, 66), and Ella Walch (junior, 68). 

McClain scores were: Hailey Cornett (senior, 63), Breslyn Lyons (freshman, 65), Palmer Mitchell (freshman, 66), Stella Henson (freshman, 67), and Autumn Uhrig (senior, 71).
